Elling Gold Exchange, Virginia City, Montana
At Elling Gold Exchange we are purveyors of fine jewelry and books at our Main Street location in downtown Virginia City. We are located between the Hangman's Building and the Virginia City Creamery. The Elling Bank building was built in 1864, and was one of Montana Territory's first banks. Its history even includes an unsolved Old West "shoot 'em up" bank robbery. The original and very ornate bank vault is the oldest vault in the United States still in use for its original purpose.
Our Virginia City Store is a seasonal store officially open between Memorial Day and Labor Day. Weather permitting our season usually extends beyond those holidays. With the creation of this site we are now open 24/7 every day of the year.
Elling Gold Exchange features a talented staff ready to help you with all your jewelry needs. Our jewelry creations are made from local gold, Montana and Yogo Sapphires, and Ruby Reservoir garnets. Because of our long retail history in Montana we are second to none with our Yogo Sapphire collections. Don't forget to check out our fine estate jewelry. Thank you for visiting our virtual store |
