Mark & LouRae WeberLouRae Myhre-Weber

LouRae is a gifted jeweler with vast experience in the jewelry business. She worked in her father's jewelry store until she married Mark Weber in 1976. While he was attending Eastern Montana College she worked in sales and was a bench jeweler with Montague's Jewelers in Billings. After Mark accepted employment in Southwestern Montana, LouRae worked as a goldsmith at Stamm's Jewelry in Dillon. She received an art degree from Western Montana College then attended Gemological Institute of America. She operated her own store, Myhre Jewelry, in Sheridan, Montana, before joining her husband in Virginia City in the operation of Elling Gold Exchange. Over the last 25 years LouRae has created hundreds of jewelry pieces treasured by their owners.

 

Mark Weber

While Mark does not have as rich a jewelry background as his wife, his father, Wilfred, was employed by Baron's Jewelry in Billings in 1957. He then transferred to Baron's in Great Falls in 1959. Mark received his undergraduate degree at Eastern Montana College and a Master's Degree at the University of Connecticut in 1988. He and LouRae started Myhre Jewelry in Sheridan, Montana, in 1989 and Elling Gold Exchange in Virginia City in 1991. Mark received his Colored Stone Certification from the Gemological Institute of America in 1994. He has worked in all aspects of the jewelry profession since 1989.

 

Bill & Judy WilkinsonWilliam (Bill) Wilkinson

William is a native of Baltimore, Maryland who came to Montana in 1987. He received an art education degree from Western Montana College in 1991 and teaches art at Sheridan High School. When he is not teaching, he is a valuable member of the Elling Gold Exchange staff. Bill is also an accomplished jeweler and received his Jewelry Technician certification from the Revere Academy of Jewelry Arts in San Francisco. 

Judy King

Judy is retired from the US Forest Service and has been with Elling Gold Exchange since 2004. She is employed as a clerk and a jewelry consultant. Judy is our type ‘A' person around the shop that keeps all the other artist-type employees crossing their t's, dotting their i's, and seeing that Elling Gold Exchange runs better than a newly cleaned and oiled timepiece.

 

A'Raeann WeberA'Raeann Weber

 

A'Raeann is in the fourth grade at Alder Elementary.  She would like to grow up to be an artist because "I am creative and talented."  A'Raeann likes to string beads and is an accomplished Perler creator.  Fourth generation jeweler?
